My last family party was my high school graduation party last year. it was held at the colonial tavern, which is sort of like a country club except you don't have to dress fancy and its roughly on a three acre property. they had a basket ball court, a small pond to go paddle boating, a five foot deep pool, a small playground for little kids, a gazebo, a beach volley ball court, shuffle board, a game room, and a large field to which held the inflatable obstacle course that my mom had rented for the day. the best thing about the party was that all of the people that support me in my life were their to celebrate my accomplishments so far in my life. i hadn't seen most of the people that came to my party in such a long time that it was nice to catch up with them and see how there lives were going as well as telling them where i would be going to college. i sat in a plastic/metal fold up chair on a concrete patio under a large white canopy. we ate off of paper plates that the place provided. people wore casual clothing such as shorts, T-shirts, and capris.

The last family party I went to was around Christmas time. The party was at my uncles house with my dad's side of the family. The house was decorated for Christmas with stockings, a tree, and lights. The table was long and set for the dinner with name tags at each spot. We had a variety of food such as home made lasagna, ham, salad, potatoes, and warm rolls. Everyone grabbed their plate and served themselves because all the food was laid out on platters and in big bowls. The dessert was an assortment of pies and Christmas cookies. We have a large family, so I sat in a spare metal fold-up chair that was usually in the basement. Everyone dressed nice for the holiday, a lot of sweaters were worn for the cold winter day.

The last family party I went to was new years eve. It was at my house and we all made a appetizer and choose who's was the best. I sat on a stool, kind of like a bar stool made of wood. It had a cushion on it but it still kind of hurts my butt. We all tried to get the presentation points by putting our food on different trays that had flowers on them and bowls that weren't that great. My cousin put his food in a basket which was a lot different than what we all had. Everyone was wearing something different. My aunt was wearing a football jersey. My mom and aunt were both wearing alex and any bracelets which I am obsessed with. They are so pretty. Also my mom and I were wearing necklaces that mean a lot to us. Mine being a heart and hers being one that I gave her.

ReplyDeleteThe last family party I went to was on Christmas Eve. It was at my great aunts house in New Jersey. I go to New Jersey every year for Christmas and get together with the whole family. All my cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents come from all over New Jersey. The house was all decorated from the inside out in Christmas stuff. There was Christmas music blasting as people were coming in. Everyone brought their favorite food to the party and all the food was set up buffet style. I actually ate dinner on my great aunts couch next to my cousin. We always sit next to each other at Christmas Eve dinner, it is out little tradition. Everyone it my family makes Christmas Eve a big deal so everyone was very dressed up. All the girls were wearing dresses and heels. The guys were all wearing button-up shirts and ties. It was a great night with my family.

ReplyDeleteThe last family party I attended was on Christmas Day. The party was small, because I don't come from a very large family. The guest list included myself, my sister, mom, dad, grandma, and my brother's girlfriend. My brother was unfortunately not able to attend because he is a chef in New York City and was serving dinner parties of his own. The festivities began shortly after presents with a vast spread of breakfast dishes ranging from colorful fruits to sugary cinnamon buns. Breakfast was casual as everyone was still wearing their holiday pajamas and ate off of paper plates. The less than fancy reindeer plates were accompanied by equally as casual santa claus napkins. Everyone pulled themselves together for dinner time and dressed up. The women broke out the dresses and heels with jewelry and scarves to match, and my dad broke out his annual Christmas tie. To go along with our fancy attire, my mom adorned the dinning room table with our finest China and silverware. The shiny white plates were outlined with yellow gold in a curved shape. The sparkling silverware sparkled next to the plates on top of our linen tablecloth. Because we were in the dinning room, we all sat on the antique Mahogany chairs. The dark brown chairs are accompanied by a delicately upholstered navy blue seat cushion. The night ended the best way possible, with desserts!
The last family party i went to was my aunts christmas party! It was awesome. She always get chinese and italian...along with vegetarian dishes for my cousins. Everything that wasn't catered was served in her holiday china. I wore a nice blazer and heels, my cousins (2 girls) were also dressed up for the holiday. My 2 other cousins (men) wore slacks and a dress shirts. My grandfather wore his leather jacket, this means he was dressed up. I sat in the seat I always sit in, in their dining room...second from the end of the table and next to my mom. Its a super casual affair, after we ate we proceeded to open presents and drink up!
ReplyDeleteThe last family party I went to was after Christmas. The party was at my aunt's house with my mom's side of the family. The house was decorated for Christmas still with lights still up along with the tree. The table was long and set for our usual huge Italian feast. We had a variety of food such as home made lasagna, chicken parm, salad, an assortment of pastas, homemade pizza, and Italian bread. Everyone served themselves because all the food was laid out on platters and in big bowls. The dessert was an assortment of fruits, cookies, and Italian pastries. We have a large family, so I sat at the end of the table in a chair I grabbed from the other room. Everyone dressed nice in sweaters and dress clothes.
ReplyDeleteThe last family party I attended was Christmas Day and my parents had my whole family over. There was about 25 to 30 people who attended so there was as ton of food. I sit in the same exact chair no matter what holiday it is. I sit in the chair to the left of my dad, who sits at the head of the table. Usually my mom goes above and beyond with every little detail when throwing a party, but since there were so many family members over she didn’t go all out with the dishes this year. She opted for an easier solution and went with paper plates. Being Italian and having such a big family, the food is never put on the table. In my kitchen we have an island that is in the middle of the kitchen, which is where our food was served. We had everything varying from pastas, meats, antipasti’s, bread, salads, and veggies. Depending on what it was it was either served in a big bowl, or a heated tray. Since it was Christmas everyone looked reasonably dressed up. It ranged from dress pants with a button up shirt, to leggings and a big sweater. I kept it simple with a big sweater riding boots, and leggings.
